It is with deep sorrow that we say good-bye to a dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Denny was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Anne Robinson and their son Stephen. Beloved father of Peggy White of Elgin and Carol White of Vancouver Island. Denny was born in Jones Falls where he grew up loving the great outdoors and playing music with his lifelong friend, Wayne Sly. A Graveside Service will be held at Halladay Cemetery, Elgin on Friday April 9, 2021 at 11 o'clock. As per Covid restrictions, the wearing of masks and social distancing is mandatory and all guests must register to attend by calling the Funeral Home between the hours of 9 to 5, at 613-359-5555.

After all these years he was known as Denny. He found out his real name was Carl after his father passed away and the documents were found. To me he was Dad. I will miss the phone calls (so will Randy) as a cell phone and computer were absent at Dad's. He is survived by sister Shirley, brothers Roger and Bill. Nancy, the youngest past away last year. Brother Doug and sister Joyce have also passed. Oh the summers we all had: Dad playing the banjo with either Wayne, my godfather or one of his sisters. We all loved to sing. His fishing and hunting stories seem somehow lost but we all know it was one of his favorite pass times. He can relax now that he has joined Mom again.
I'll miss you Dad, Carol x0x0x0x0

We are so sorry for your loss. Always loved our chats when our paths crossed often doing our Daily tasks in the village. Guy remembers fondly all the time spent with Steve and always had respect for Denny and enjoyed having him a hockey coach. Still laughs about all the boys piling in the back of his truck to go to hockey practice. He fought a good fight. God bless you all who have lost him.

I met Denny when he became my neighbor and friend in 1974. We shared a lot of good times with him and Anne: many meals, fish fries, music, and weekends at the cottage in Burridge. Best fishing guide ever. He and Anne stood up for Gary and me when we eloped in 1994.....the official almost married him to me in error! Many happy memories! He will be missed.

There is not enough room here to share all of the great memories I have of times spent with Denny (and Anne). Denny’s love of everything outdoors and all that he shared with my husband Burt (and a little bit me with me as well) are all mixed in lake, steak and swamp dinners, banjo playing and many many laughs. Denny was one of the most authentic people I ever met and I was proud to know him.
