It is with great sadness that we announce that our dad, Tom Ingram, in his 86th year, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at his side.
Dad was a funny little man who could make people laugh with his unique sense of humour, and his many quotes he would take from cartoons and movies. Conversations with dad with his strong opinions on the use of the English language, and politics, made visiting dad a happy memory for all those who knew him.
Dad was a mentor to many; his family who were blessed with guidance and wisdom, to students he taught at CFB Kingston, and to many friend’s that he served with in his 38-year career (34 regular service, 4 years C class) in the Canadian military. There are too many to mention.
Waiting for him in heaven is Rita, his wife of 41 years, his brother Bob, and sisters, Joan, Shirley, and Barb.
Dad is survived by his 4 children, Christine Nichols, Brent (Kim) Ingram, Barb (Gary) Storring, Thereasa Ingram (Greg). Grandchildren, Micheal, Candice, Sylvain, Kerriae, Brandon, Caleb, and Charlie, and 6 great grandchildren.
On behalf of dad, our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the amazing caregivers that came to dad’s home showing nothing but respect and kindness when helping our dad through his last days. A special shoutout to Amy (the cook) for all her gastronomical delight.
There will be a party in dad's honour at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in dad’s name to your favourite charity.

I have many memories of Tom, most of which make me smile or laugh right out loud. I will never hear the word marmalade without thinking of him with a chuckle. And don't even get me started on Bruce Springsteen. We spent almost an hour one afternoon discussing why Tom's taste in music was better than mine. His final argument being that what I was listening to wasn't music. And he threatened to dock my pay for the wasted time while we argued that. I also think of him every time I prepare a beef roast - by the way Tom, I did eventually learn to cook it without it turning into shoe leather. I am ashamed to say that my visits were few and far between the past few years, but I enjoyed every one of them. He was stubborn, opinionated and hysterically funny. He leaves a lot of fond memories and will be missed by many. My heartfelt sympathy to you all.

My condolences to the Ingram family. Tom is truly going to be missed for his politics and sense of humor and all his knowledge that he had stored up after all his life experiences.
Tom always had a smile and he loved his cars and his dog buddy who would always be with him when he pulled into the office. I know that if we here a loud rumble from above that Tom Scovil and him are having a huge rumble over the politics which they use to spend hours chewing back and forth over, I use to get such a kick out of it. Rest in peace Tom.
