Obituary

Sneyd; Mark

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mark Sneyd at his favourite place, our family cottage on Tuesday, April 28th, 2020. Loved by his wife Anne and his two daughters, Beth and Emily. He leaves behind his Mother, Cynthia and Father, Fredric and his siblings Debbie Callan (Andrew), Peter Sneyd (Deceased), Lynn Bastedo (John), Gayle Castledine (Eric), and Brian Sneyd. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Beloved friend to many. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held. A Celebration of Life to follow when restrictions are lifted. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Forever in our hearts, we will miss you Mark.

To the Sneyd Family,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Mark's untimely passing. I grew up with Mark and his siblings on Glen Oak Drive and spent a few memorable summers at the Sneyd cottage. Mark even way back in the day was always very good natured and sweet. You could see that in his face. He was a pleasure to be around when I was growing up. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am shocked and saddened by Mark's passing. I have enjoyed playing squash with Mark for 20+ years, along with many Stellas, lunches and dinners. I especially looked forward to our weekly lunchtime game. There was always a long list of people who wanted to play with or against Mark. Everyone enjoyed his skills, his demeanor and his company on and off the court.

I am grateful that I met and got to know Mark and he will be forever remembered. Doug and Jo
