When I heard about Rodney's passing like a lot of you it was a shock ... he was so young, no way, can't be ... Rodney was one of my go to guys when I was Chief. I could always depend on him to help me out for fire prevention sessions at Sweets School, community events that the fire department was expected to attend, special projects, first response calls, station 4 Captain, training new recruits ... a truly outstanding firefighter and gentleman. Rodney made a difference in his community and assisted so many of his neighbours when they were faced with a fire, rescue or medical situation. It was an honour to serve with Rodney in the fire service ... RIP my friend, Daniel Prest, (Chief 1992 - 2007) and Dianne O'Reilly
